Even though the name of the building suggests that it only has a single use, the Sydney Opera house actually has multiple performance venues. Hosting well over 1,500 performances annually by various different performing arts producers, including 4 important companies: Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, which over 1.2million people attend. Aswell as the thousands of tourists who take guided tours of the building each year and reaching the number of over 8million just in visitors. The Sydney Opera House is managed by an agency of the New south Wales State Government known as the Sydney Opera House Trust.
